VanEck and Lonsec Investment Solutions have launched a range of exchange traded funds (ETF) model portfolios, which are designed to help advisers and brokers in the construction of cost effective diversified portfolios and to help better meet their client’s investment objectives.

VanEck said it would utilise Lonsec’s research and portfolio construction expertise in order to provide strategic asset allocations tailored to three risk/return profiles: balanced, growth and high growth.

All ETFs included in the models would be required to have a minimum ‘Lonsec recommended rating’ and they would be subject to quarterly performance reporting and Lonsec’s oversight.

Also, VanEck ETF model portfolios would aim to provide market exposure across asset classes such as Australian and global equities, property as well as Australian and international fixed income.

VanEck Australia’s managing director, Arian Neiron, said that due to the changing environment, regulation and evolving technology, investors were scrutinising their investments more closely in search of performance, value and transparency.

“Our ETF model portfolios are designed to address these factors and provide a reliable, low cost investment framework for investors,” he said.

“We are delighted to partner with Lonsec Investment Solutions who has over 20 years’ experience in strategic asset allocation.

“We believe the new VanEck ETF model portfolios will provide financial advisers with a set of tools to build cost effective and diversified investment portfolios to help meet the needs for their clients across a range of risk profiles.”
