Financial Wisdom believes it is well on the way to growing its team of authorised representatives beyond its target of 400 by the end of the year, after signing up three more financial services practices in Western Australia in the past few months.

The latest additions to the Financial Wisdom stable are Peter Farrar & Associates, Westshore Financial Services, and Stephen Ramsay Financial Planning.

They bring the number of new authorised representatives to have joined Financial Wisdom in Western Australia since December 2004 to 20.

Principal of Peter Farrar & Associates, Peter Farrar, cited Financial Wisdom’s assistance in the initial transfer of the client base, its technical and research support, and its help in the preparation of compliant statements of advice as some of the major advantages his firm had noted since the move.

For Stephen Ramsay’s practice, switching dealer groups to Financial Wisdom was mainly due to the products and services the Commonwealth Bank-owned dealer group was able to offer.

“It is always difficult to change, but my decision to join the Financial Wisdom team was based on the dealer group’s ability to offer my clients the most competitive products and service — together with outstanding support, training and technology for my practice,” Stephen Ramsay said.

The additions to the dealer group come hot on the heels of Financial Wisdom’s decision to adopt a fee for service model for its advisers, along with a suite of extra services.

The first of the new range of services available to Financial Wisdom’s advisers is a business-coaching program to help planning practices become more profitable.

This development will be followed in the near future by business consulting and leads generation programs, along with succession planning and brokering platforms.
