Dealer group re-brands
Platinum Group has undergone a corporate restructuring and will now be known as the Sentry Group.
The decision to re-brand the dealer group was made after identifying the need to clearly differentiate the group from a number of similarly-named organisations.
Sentry Group managing director Murray Hills said the new name was chosen from a list of 200 possibilities, based on how well it could satisfy a combination of requirements relating to trademark and website factors.
Along with the name change, Hills also reviewed the business structure and developed a new framework.
“The main thing changed was in our existing management team, we have given them additional roles based on investments and administration, risk business and finance,” Hills said.
“So far we have had very good feedback from our advisers.”
Two new subsidiary businesses were also created through the reshuffle — Sentry Insurance Brokers, offering life insurance broking, and Sentry Finance Broking, the mortgage specialist arm of the group.
