The Financial Services industry will no longer fall under the portfolio control of Bill Shorten.
The Cabinet reshuffle announced by the Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, will see Financial Services and Superannuation handed to the Assistant Treasurer, David Bradbury.
Shorten remains in Cabinet as Workplace Relations minster and will have the additional responsibility of School Education.
