Australian Ethical announces grants program

Australian Ethnical has announced it will be making over $100,000 in grants available to not-for-profit organisations and community projects as part of a Community Grants program.
The superannuation company announced last week that it had opened applications and was inviting charitable and benevolent organisations with current projects to apply.
Commenting on the move, Australian Ethical strategy and communications manager Paul Smith said there had been almost 1000 applications for the grants over the past few years.
"We've been working with the not-for-profit sector for over a decade and we know that for many organisations obtaining funds is more challenging than it has ever been," he said.
"The Community Grants program is a great opportunity for organisations working at the forefront of sustainability, and the social justice sector."
Australian Ethical donates 10 per cent of its annual profit every year through the grants program. Since the inception of the program 12 years ago, it has provided over $1.3 million in funding to community organisations.
