Former Hub24 executive, Wes Gillett has emerged as head of sales at platform provider, Powerwrap.

Powerwrap announced Gillett’s appointment this week alongside that of former Morgan Stanley Wealth Management executive director, James Edmonds and former Netwealth group chief financial officer, Bruce MacDougall as Chief Financial Officer.

Commenting on the appointments, Powerwrap chief executive, Will Davidson said the firm was delighted to have added such strong experience to its ranks.

“These are high quality industry leaders with extensive experience in growing and sustaining platform businesses in the wealth market,” he said.

Davidson said the appointments came at a crucial time for Powerwrap.

“Powerwrap is aiming to become the largest unconstrained and most innovative institutional grade wealth management platform in the market,” he said. “With the breakdown in the vertically-integrated banking model, Powerwrap is uniquely placed to offer financial planners and wealth advisers a non-bank-owned partner to conduct and grow their wealth businesses.”
