OC Funds Management takes Patriot business

Just days after Ironbark Asset Management acquired Patriot Asset Management’s Patriot Australian Share Fund and the Patriot Small Companies Fund, OC Funds Management has acquired Patriot’s individually managed accounts (IMA) business, Patriot Managed Accounts.

The transaction will also see the principal of Patriot Managed Accounts, Stephen Sedgman, joining the OC Funds Management investment team along with portfolio manager Stephen Evans.

OC Funds Management chairman Charles Baillieu said the acquisition significantly enhanced the company’s investment capabilities beyond its four equities funds, to now include IMAs and separately managed accounts (SMAs).
