Asgard adds Standard Life absolute return fund to list

Asgard has added Standard Life Investments' Global Absolute Return Strategies (GARS) Australian Trust to its investment menu making it available to wholesale clients.

The fund, which has been offered to the Australian market since 2009, has delivered an overall gross return of 11.49 per cent per annum since the launch date of 1 December 2009 with volatility within the fund since 2009 at 4.1 per cent compared to global equity volatility of 9.5 per cent over the same period.

Standard life Investments, Investment Director, Wholesale Business Matthew, Newham said the inclusion demonstrated the growth of the businesses absolute return products in the retail sector.

"Asgard is a well-regarded investment platform and we are delighted that GARS has been added to its investment offering," Newham said.
