Northern Trust opens Philippines office
Global custodian, Northern Trust has opened an office in the Philippines.
The company announced the Manila office opening this week, saying it would support processing and back-office functions for Northern Trust’s global clients and was Northern Trust’s third Asia-Pacific office established this year.
Commenting on the move, Northern Trust chairman and chief executive, Frederick H. Waddell said it was part of expanding the company’s expanding global presence and capacity to offer clients increased support within their own time zones.
He said Paula Kenee had been appointed as country head, the Philippines.
Northern Trust Asia Pacific head of operations, Brian Ovaert said the Manila office would play a key role in the company’s client support in the Asia-Pacific.
