Lonsec launches ETF model portfolios

Lonsec Stockbroking has released a series of five model portfolios that invest via a range of passive exchange traded funds (ETF) across traditional asset classes.
Each of the five portfolios is aligned to a different risk profile from defensive through to high growth with investors able to access Australian equities, international equities, property securities, fixed interest and cash via the ETFs.
The portfolios have been built using Lonsec’s own research, with the portfolios reviewed and rebalanced twice yearly to achieve best results for investors.
Lonsec Stockbroking’s Investment adviser Geoff Beeston said the portfolios address demand for ETFs, particularly among the wealth accumulator market who want to access different asset classes at a lower cost than the traditional investment model using managed funds.
“There is rising interest from financial advisers as they realise how ETFs can be used to help their clients gain access to major asset classes. Typical ETF investors hold financial products for over 18 months, meaning these portfolios are relatively easy to manage, reducing administration time for financial advisers and enabling them to focus more time on achieving their clients’ investment objectives,” Beeston said.
