IAG’s Cornish becomes ICA president

The Insurance Council of Australia has appointed a new president, Insurance Australia Group personal insurance chief executive, Andy Cornish.

The appointment was confirmed by the ICA board this week, with Cornish’s appointment being for two years from 1 January, 2015.

Cornish succeeds Mark Miller in the role. Miller is the chief executive, personal insurance at Suncorp Group.

QBE Insurance chief executive, Colin Fagen has been appointed deputy president.
