Garrisons pushes into far north Queensland
TheGarrisonsdealer group has lured across three financial planners from its rival,Regional Financial Services, to spearhead a new financial planning business based in far north Queensland.
The three planners, James Crompton, Mike Coleman and Allan Wilson, will form a strategic alliance and operate a Garrisons franchise together under the banner of Garrisons Far North Queensland.
The franchise, to be based in Cairns, is the latest in a line of new venture for Garrisons.
Earlier this week, Garrisons announced it had linked up with Southern Cross Accountants, an accounting business based in northern New South Wales, to set up a network of offices in Lismore, Casino, Ballina and Byron Bay.
Under the deal struck between the two groups, the network, to be known as Garrisons Northern New South Wales, will operate out of the existing offices of Southern Cross Accountants in each of the four locations.
Garrisons managing director Kim White says both northern NSW and QLD presented strong growth opportunities to coincide with Garrison’s program to expand its business Australia-wide.
Garrisons has recruited 50 proper authority holders and added 20 new franchises to its network in the last 12 months.
