BNP Paribas makes Asia/Pac appointments
French-based custodian, BNP Paribas Securities Serviced, has announced two senior appointments to its management team in Asia Pacific.
In a move which the company said highlighted the strong momentum of the bank in the region, it announced that StÈphanie Marelle had been appointed as Head of Hong Kong effective from 1 July 2014, where she is now responsible for client relationships and service delivery for Hong Kong clients in addition to her role as Head of clearing and custody services/corporate trust services in Asia Pacific.
The company also announced that David Raccat had been appointed as Head of market and financing services for the Asia Pacific region from 1 September in addition to his current role as Head of global markets. Raccat is based in Singapore, where the bank sees strong demand from buy-side clients.
Commenting on the appointments, Head of BNP Securities Services Asia Pacific, Laurence Au said he was pleased to have Marelle and Raccat on board as the company made additional investment in key resources in Asia Pacific.
