Australia’s largest ETF manager, Vanguard, has appointed former BlackRock iShares director for EMEA, Marco Corsi, to head its newly established Vanguard Global ETF Research Centre.

Prior to BlackRock, Corsi held roles at Decura, Barclays and Merrill Lynch, and in his new role would lead the London-based team in developing ETF-related research, perspectives and content to inform and educate institutional investors.

According to head of international ETFs, Axel Lomholt, the centre was developed to address critical global ETF issues and to produce perspectives that would be topical and insightful to investors, regulators and influencers.

The announcement coincides with the first day of trading on the Australian Securities Exchange for Vanguard’s newest ETF, the Vanguard Global Infrastructure Index ETF.
