TAL appoints head of retail claims

TAL has appointed Emlyn Pugh as head of retail claims to bolster its newly centralised operational centre.
The role is part of the life insurer's efforts to fully align its functions and services around providing quality customer service, TAL stated.
Pugh's duties will focus on delivering improved processes and customer outcomes during claim time.
He most recently headed up life insurance claims management for ANZ/OnePath for over three years. Before that, he held a similar position at CommInsure for 12 years, with responsibilities across a number of customer-facing and strategic roles in both claims and underwriting.
