T. Rowe Price has succeeded in having one its key offerings added to Colonial First State's FirstChoice platform.

The fund manager announced this week that T. Rowe Price's Global Equity capability, managed by Scott Berg, would now be available on FirstChoice.

Confirming the development, T. Rowe Price head of relationship management Australia and New Zealand, Murray Brewer, said the product provided Australian investors and advisers access to an equity capability that invested across developed, emerging, and frontier equity markets.

"Many investors use our global equity capability as the dedicated growth manager providing selective exposure to emerging markets, which is especially relevant where clients cannot tolerate the volatility of a dedicated exposure to emerging markets in their portfolio," Brewer said.

He said he believed many advisers took the view that emerging markets were no longer a homogenous asset class.

"As a result [they] may prefer to use us in their portfolios as a truly global equity growth manager," Brewer said.
