A global provider of financial services software and software-enabled services, SS&C Technologies, has announced the appointment of Phil Banas as managing director — Australia.

Banas previously ran North American sales for SS&C, having joined the company through its acquisition of Financial Models Corporation, where he served for three years as sales and marketing director and five as managing director of European operations.

In his new role, Banas will be responsible for SS&C’s Australian business and will work in close partnership with his SS&C counterparts in Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo and Singapore.

“Phil’s proven executive leadership capabilities combined with our team led by Nadine Moore and Jon Alder in Sydney furthers our Australian commitment,” said SS&C Technologies Holdings' chairman and chief executive officer, Bill Stone.
