Former senior research analyst at InvestorWeb Rodney Sebire has ended a short stint at Skandia to go to hedge fund manager Mann Investments.

Sebire left InvestorWeb for Skandia at the beginning of September last year.

Just four months on he officially took on a new research role at hedge fund manager Mann Investments on January 1.

Skandia’s head of investment research Will Burkitt confirmed Sebire had left the group. He said the departure, however, would have little effect on the multi-manager’s research team’s workload, as it still has eight other members.

News of Sebire’s move came as InvestorWeb announced it had appointed two new research analysts to its stable.

The IWL-owned research house was left without a single traditional managed funds researcher in September last year when Sebire and another senior analyst, David Walker, both resigned.

Soon after, head of alternative investment research Angela Ashton was appointed to lead the entire research operation, which was also shifted from Melbourne to Sydney.

The two new analysts to join InvestorWeb are former Fat Prophets senior investment analyst Matthew Newham and former ABN Amro assistant financial accountant David Saija.

Newham takes on the role of senior investment analyst, while Saija will work as an investment analyst.
