Macquarie Funds executive moves to HSBC

HSBC has appointed Geoffrey Pidgeon as head of wholesale wealth management within the Australian global investment business. He will be responsible for the distribution of managed funds and structured products into the financial planner market.

Pidgeon was previously head of retail sales within Macquarie Funds Group, and held positions in AXA and Rothschild Australia Asset Management.

HSBC global investments distributes the asset management capabilities of HSBC to retail, institutional and wholesale investors.

HSBC head of global investments Charles Gennocchio said the business hopes to give investors access to the world’s leading international and emerging market investment opportunities.
