Macquarie Adviser Services has appointed Fiona Mackenzie to its practice consulting business as a senior practice consultant.

Mackenzie previously worked as a business consultant at Shirlaws in Australia and New Zealand, and as head of marketing and product development at Bridges Financial Services. Before that, Mackenzie spent eight years at Macquarie where she specialised in marketing, product and business development.

“Since the launch of the business last year we’ve experienced significant interest from financial planners who are looking for specialist knowledge to help grow their practices,” said head of Macquarie Practice Consulting Liz McCarthy.

“We work closely with boutique firms to gain a detailed understanding of their business and the specific challenges they face,” she said.

“Given the size of these businesses, many do not have the necessary internal resources to focus on the specific areas that need attention, so we assist by providing them with access to Macquarie’s specialists who can help to deliver a solution,” she added.
