Investec boosts teams
Investec Australia has made two senior appointments to its Corporate Advisory and Financial Sponsors Transaction Group teams.
The company announced it had appointed Chris Stefanovski as managing director in the corporate advisory team while it had appointed Uyi Ighodaro to the newly-created Financial Sponsors Transaction Group, which represents a partnership between Investec's Corporate Adivisory and Corporate and Acquisition Finance divisions.
The announcement said Stefanovski would be working alongside Ben Smith who heads up the company's Corporate Advisory team, and that prior to joining Investec he was a partner, and head of mergers and acquisitions in Sydney in KPMG's Deal Advisory Mergers and Acquisition team.
Ighodaro will focus on the origination of transactions involving private equity firms active in Australia across advisory, financing and hedging.
Prior to re-joining Investec, Ighodaro was a senior investment banker at Barclays in Australia where he was head of the Financial Sponsors Group.
