BetaShares appoints new director, portfolio and national account sales



BetaShares Capital Limited has appointed Vinnie Wadhera as director, portfolio and national account sales.
In his new role, Wadhera will be responsible for financial adviser distribution and education for the specialist provider's suite of exchange traded funds (ETFs).
Wadhera has 17 years of experience in the investment management industry, most recently as Third Link Investment Managers' head of distribution. Before that he worked with ING Australia as head of funds management - distribution, overseeing wholesale market segment sales and research house ratings.
BetShares managing director Alex Vynokur said Wadhera will be a key figure in growing the business and educating financial advisers on the benefits and role of ETFs in a portfolio.
BetaShares currently provides nine ETFs to Australian investors, seven of which were launched in 2011.
