Beazley appoints BDM
In a move to expand its Australian presence, specialist insurer Beazley has appointed Duncan Richardson as life, accident and health development manager.
The former business development manager and head of workplace at TAL has more than 20 years experience in broking, general and life insurance.
Noel Nosworthy, managing director of Beazley Underwriting and Australian Income Protection, said Richardson would bolster the firm’s capabilities in providing tailored services to large superannuation funds and the accident and health marketplace in Australia.
Beazley plc is the parent company of specialist insurance businesses with operations in Europe, the US, Asia and Australia.
The company began expanding its Australian operations in 2011 with the acquisition of Australian Income Protection in 2011. Since entering the Australian market in 2008, the insurer has grown its workforce to more than 40.
