Australian Unity Funds Management has expanded its Sydney distribution team, appointing Boyd Lees as senior institutional business development manager (BDM).

Lees will report to Damen Purcell, head of distribution at Australian Unity Funds Management, and would join Australian Unity from Citadel SPV where he was vice president — business development.

Lees has over 15 years' experience in the financial services industry in both Australia and Asia, holding senior client relationship roles at organisations including National Australia Bank (NAB), Pershing LLC, BNY Mellon, and Potter Warburg Asset Management.

Confirming the appointment, Purcell said Lees brought a wealth of experience across both the institutional and middle market channels which would be key in helping Australian Unity Funds Management grow its institutional footprint across its joint ventures, real estate investment, and internal asset management capabilities.
