Alan Cameron will add another role to his list with his appointment as an independent director of Hastings Funds Management (HFML).

Cameron currently holds a number of chair positions, including Westpac Funds Management and Westpac’s and St George’s life and general insurance companies, ASX Market Supervision, Cameron Ralph and Reliance Rail Group.

Previously, he was Commonwealth Ombudsman and chairman of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.

Since 2000, Cameron has been involved in regulatory projects and governance reviews, and worked as a consultant and a company director.

Cameron will replace Jim Tate, who leaves the HFML board to join Westpac as head of retail banking.
