Women in Banking and Finance launches mentor program
Women in Banking and Finance (WiBF) has launched the application process for its 2011 Mentoring for Success Program, now in its sixth year.
The program facilitates a mentoring relationship between professional women in middle to senior management and successful, more experienced men and women in their industry.
“The 2010 Mentoring Program was an outstanding success in terms of the calibre of participants, the quality of the different events and value added from the tools that were used,” said WiBF president Melissa Marzulli. “Both mentees and mentors reported gaining exceptional value from this unique opportunity.”
Feedback from those participating in the program revealed that it helped them identify and leverage their strengths, take control of their careers and self-promote, develop strategic networks within their organisations, widen their perspectives, and help them change their own approach to issues or challenges.
The key objective of the program is to support the career development of women who already have a significant investment in their career, and the retention of their skills and intellectual capital within their industry, WiBF stated.
Applications are open until March 11. Visit http://www.wibf.org.au/mentoring.php.
