Former Sealcorp executive Neil Swindells has been named the replacement for Andrew Mohl as head of AMP's huge retail distribution network.

The former operations general manager at Sealcorp will join AMP next week following an exhaustive six-month search by the financial services giant to fill the role vacated by Mohl.

Mohl left in July after a two-year stint as general manager of retail distribution to take over the helm of AMP Asset Management from Andrew Threadgold,. Since then Stephen White has been acting head of the retail network, which includes AMP Financial Planning, Hillross Financial Services, AMP Direct and salaried adviser group AMP Solutions.

Prior to his stint at Sealcorp, Swindells was general manager of research group ASSIRT and had also worked at MBF, Mercantile Mutual and NRMA.
