Listed financial planning companySnowballhas struck an alliance deal with Capital Partners Consulting, a West Australian corporate superannuation and private client advisory group.

Under the conditions of the deal Capital Partners will become Snowball’s Western Australian partner and become the preferred financial services provider for several companies in the state including Vodafone, Alcatel, P&O, Fuji-Xerox and the Spotless Group.

Snowball had already struck deals with the groups to supply them with advice in other states and had recently entered into a similar deal in South Australia with independent group Hayes Sterling.

Under that agreement, Hayes Sterling will represent Snowball with corporate clients, professional associations and individual investors.

Like Hayes Sterling, Capital Partners is an independently owned firm and does not have any links with financial institutions.

Snowball group managing director Tony McDonald says Western Australia at present accounts for only a small part of the group’s business and it felt there were more opportunities for growth in the region.

McDonald says based on the prior deals Snowball was interested in meeting West Australian employers to assist their workforces with financial planning needs.

Apart from the deals to supply financial advice Snowball has also struck a number of deals with other service providers in the last 18 months including a partnership with employee benefits provider API Leisure & Lifestyle to offer human resource solutions for businesses.
