LonsecRetire gains first client
Telstra Super Financial Planning has become the first financial services group to sign up to Lonsec Retire — a collaboration between research house, Lonsec and consulting firm Milliman.
The arrangement was confirmed this week, with Lonsec and Milliman restating that the new offering, LonsecRetire, was intended to provide advisers with access to contemporary investment strategies to help them meet the investment needs of retirees.
The product, launched last month, is designed to provide retirement portfolio construction advice as well as research and thought leadership around issues such as risk management and regulatory changes.
The service is supported by an industry panel including BT Investment Management, Colonial First State, Macquarie, Metlife, MLC and Plato Investment Management.
Commenting on the Telstra Super Financial Planning arrangement, Lonsec Investment Consulting general manager, Lukasz de Pourbaix said Telstra Super's financial advisers would now have access to an extensive set of practical adviser-focused strategies and support material to help them better advise clients in retirement.
For his part, Telstra Super Financial Planning general manager Ivan Jones said the group had developed an increasing focus on delivering outcomes and solutions for our members in and approaching retirement."
