Garrisons sinks roots in Queensland
Dealer group Garrisons has boosted its presence in Queensland after it established alliances with five financial services groups and made a new appointment within the region.
Walker Pender Roy Financial Services and Cooper Reeves Accountants have joined Garrisons, while Prosperity Advantage and Mardell Financial Services have taken out franchises with the dealer group.
A joint venture agreement with Townsville-based planning business Arlington House has also been undertaken.
The additions mean Garrisons has doubled its presence in the Queensland market this year and established a more extensive regional distribution throughout the state.
“We are delighted with the results achieved in the Queensland market to date,” Garrisons executive chairman John Sikkema.
The dealer group has also recently opened a specialist investment centre in Cairns.
Garrisons has appointed Carolyn Bindon to the position of practice and business development manager for Queensland and Northern NSW to further strengthen the Queensland position.
Garrisons now has 23 franchises and 46 proper authority holders spread throughout Northern NSW and Queensland.
The growth comes on the back of news of an alliance struck by Garrisons with National Seniors to provide financial planning advice to the organisation’s 240,000 members.
