Count Financial has had to move the venue for its annual conference from Christchurch to Auckland following the devastating earthquake in Christchurch.

The conference will still take place from 13-16 March, with some 750 Count members expected to attend.

Despite changing the venue, Count chief executive Andrew Gale said he decided to keep the conference in New Zealand to show support for the country.

The group will also make a donation to the Red Cross Australia Earthquake Appeal, which will be announced at the conference.

Speakers at the conference include former head of the Super System review Jeremy Cooper, the Financial Services Council’s John Brogden and Andrea Slattery of the Self-Managed Super Fund Professionals’ Association.
