Long-standing readers of Money Management will know that Outsider spent quite a number of years in Canberra and that he spent more time than was decent wandering the corridors of both the old Parliament House and the much more grandiose newer version on Capital Hill.

Thus he wonders whether his old mate, Barry Lambert is really serious in his threat/promise to run for the Senate to pursue his crusade for the legalisation of medicinal cannabis in Australia.

Barry might be ready for the Senate but Outsider is not sure the Senate is ready for Barry.

Either way, Bazza will be getting Outsider’s vote because your venerable correspondent and fellow grandfather feels deeply for the plight of Barry’s granddaughter Katelyn who suffers from a rare condition called Dravet syndrome which leads to severe epilepsy and for which medicinal cannabis is efficacious.

What is more, Outsider is prepared to run Bazza’s election campaign based on a theme of it being high time that the dopes in Parliament got off their backsides and legalised medicinal cannabis.

Given how successful Bazza was in running Count Financial and establishing its various offshoots such as Countplus and Class Super, Outsider reckons Malcolm Turnbull and Bill Shorten could use some of his good sense and sound advice.
