Tony Cripps appointed HSBC CEO for Australia

HSBC has appointed Tony Cripps chief executive for HSBC's operations in Australia, effective 24 December.

He is currently CEO for the Philippines and will replace Paulo Maia, who has held the position of CEO Australia since July 2009.

Cripps has more than 25 years experience and has worked with HSBC in Australia, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and the Philippines.
