Ratings house Standard & Poor’s (S&P) has strengthened its research team with the appointment of a ratings analyst, and a returning senior specialist and two sector head promotions.

Aniket Das has joined the team from Ibbotson Associates where he was a research analyst, assisting with the Australian equities portfolio and researching fund managers. He will start on March 28 in the Sydney office.

Tara Bell has rejoined the team part-time as an associate director based in Melbourne. She previously worked at S&P from 2006 to 2009 and has also spent time at UBS Asset Management.

James Gunn has been promoted to associate director and sector head for Australian equities, giving current sector head Justine Gorman time to focus solely on international equities.

Andrew Yap has also been promoted to associate director and the first sector head for multi-sector funds.
