Financial services industry stalwart Eric Dodd has been appointed as chairman of Snowball Group.

He succeeds Quentin Jones, who will remain on the board as a non-executive director.

Dodd has served as chief executive officer for leading brands MBF Australia and NRMA Insurance Group, and is currently chairman of First American Title Insurance, director of Healthscope and The Credit Corp Group, and director of Clean Up Australia.

Jones said Dodd’s appointment would strengthen Snowball’s position as a non-aligned, specialist advice business.

“His track-record as a leader in the big end of town, combined with his proven ability to build and drive high growth retail financial services businesses, together with his extensive management experience, will stand Snowball in good stead as we continue to work towards achieving better outcomes for our clients, shareholders and staff,” he said.

Dodd said that Snowball was well placed to take advantage of growth opportunities as the financial services industry experienced significant change over the next few years.
