CountFinancialchief operating officer Marianne Perkovic has been appointed to the group’s board, taking over the seat vacated by director and deputy managing director Kylie Lambert, who stepped down in January this year.

Perkovic, who was previously general manager of Count, was promoted following the departure of Lambert, who left Count to take on a management role in an aged-care business jointly owned with her partner.

In her six years at Count, Perkovic has managed the adviser services team, technical team, paraplanning team, business development area and training team.

Most recently, she has taken over management of the project to take the Count DOS-based financial planning software, WealthNet, online for 500 offices — a project aimed at re-engineering the business around the Internet initiated by Lambert.

In an announcement to the Australian Stock Exchange, Count managing director Barry Lambert says: “Marianne has a great knowledge of Count’s business and the industry. Her energy and drive will ensure Count retains the momentum it has established over recent years under the guidance of former director Kylie Lambert.”

She joins chairman Len Spencer, Barry Lambert, and non-executive directors Geoffrey Guest, Andrew Geddes and Alden House on the board.
