Lonsec Research chief executive, Matt Olsen has departed the company for a role with IOOF Holdings.

IOOF announced today that Olsen would be the gorup’s new Head of Research and Retirement Incomes responsible for sourcing and delivering market leading investment insights in support of financial advice and IOOF’s advice-led strategy.

Olsen’s appointment was confirmed by IOOF group general manager of Wealth Management, Renato Mota.

Olsen described his role at IOOF as a great opportunity and said his role at Lonsec had given him a strong grounding in understanding the importance of advice and the role of advisers.

Olsen’s departure from Lonsec follows hard on the heels of the departure of Amanda Gillespie who departed the ratings house late last year to join Perpetual.
