New head of fixed income for AMP Capital

AMP Capital has named Simon Warner as head of fixed income, effective immediately.
Warner, who was previously AMP Capital’s head of macro markets within the fixed income team for the past seven years, replaces Mark Beardow, who was promoted to lead the specialist investment teams.
Beardow also manages AMP Capital’s fundamental equities and multi-strategy global investment management teams.
“Simon’s passion for pursuing outstanding investment outcomes for our clients and his broad global investment experience leave him well placed to lead the fixed income team as it seeks to build its growing global profile,” Beardow said.
Warner has 17 years of experience managing global fixed income portfolios. He has worked at JPMorgan Chase in London, Sydney and Singapore before joining AMP Capital in March 2007.
AMP Capital won a $177 million fixed income mandate from Advance in 2012, which formed a part of the Advance Australian fixed interest multi-blend fund.
