State Street Global Advisers has appointed Jacqueline Pang as head of capital markets for SPDR ETFs, Asia Pacific.

She will be based in Hong Kong and oversee the group's exchange traded funds (EFTs) global capital markets' business, focussing on improving liquidity and market quality in SPDR ETFs across the region.

Pang will report to State Street head of ETF global capital markets Timothy Coyne and head of ETFs, Asia Pacific Frank Henze.

Before joining the company, Pang ran the capital markets business at Amundi Investment Solution and, before that, was a product specialist for hedge funds.

Her other previous roles included working at ICAP Asia Pacific as an inter-dealer broker covering the money market desk, and at DBS Bank where she marketed products to private clients.

Coyne said Pang would play a key role in developing State Street's relationships with market participants in primary and secondary markets.
