NAB Ventures appoints Forest managing director
Former Clipp Pty Ltd chief executive, Todd Forest, will head the management of the National Australia Bank's (NAB's) innovation fund, NAB Venture, which the bank believes will enable it to access leading ideas and capabilities from international markets, with a focus on strategic partnerships and alliances with innovation companies.
Forest is a successful angel investor via Tasman Ventures Fund and has invested in multiple start-up companies in Australia and the US. He is confident NAB will embrace the challenges of digital disruption under his methods for building an innovative culture.
"Banking globally is undergoing a digital transformation and NAB Ventures will help ensure we are able to embrace the right changes to deliver innovative solutions for our customers," he said.
"I'm excited to take on this opportunity with NAB Ventures."
In further executive appointments, Melissa Widner has been names as NAB Ventures General Partner, which Black Bird venture capital founder, Bill Bartree, with work with NAB on an advisory basis.
"Todd, Melissa and Bill all have an outstanding track record," said NAB Labs executive general manager Jonathon Davey.
"They will collectively play a vital role in the success of NAB Ventures, building on the innovative culture that will help continue to deliver for our customers."
