National Australia Bank has signed senior ANZ executive Justin Greiner as chief executive officer of its broking business JBWere.

Greiner, who will take on the role from February 2014, has been with ANZ since 2008. He currently holds the role of general manager Wealth Transformation and has previously been head of Private NSW and head of Advisory.

NAB Wealth executive general manager John Flavell said JBWere had performed well in recent years, expanding its domestic and global service offering as well as growing funds under advice in the areas of fixed income and global equities.

"With more than 20 years experience in the financial services industry, Justin is a well-respected leader known for his customer-centric approach and outstanding commercial acumen," Flavell said.

Greiner has also worked at Greenway Capital as head of retail and chief operating officer. He was previously head of financial planning at Westpac and head of corporate development at Rothschild Australia Asset Management.
