IOOF confirms managing director

IOOF has confirmed the appointment of Australian Wealth Management (AWM) head Chris Kelaher as managing director following its merger with AWM.

As foreshadowed, three new appointments have also been made to the IOOF board, Kelaher, Ian Griffiths and George Venardos.

Meanwhile, Tony Robinson will step down as director of IOOF while Kate Spargo and Rick Harper will also leave the board.

Tony Hodges will step down from the board but will remain with the group in an executive role.

The merger between IOOF and AWM will be implemented on May 12, 2009.
