George Lytas takes new CommInsure role



BT Financial Group's George Lytas has moved to CommInsure to assume the new role of head of annuities for its superannuation and investment business.
General manager for the department Greg Ballard said Lytas is starting the role at a juncture where there the demand for guaranteed retirement income products such as annuities is rising.
"George brings a wealth of knowledge in the development of retirement income solutions for the Australian market. We are delighted to appoint George to help drive growth of our annuities business," he said.
Lytas has 20 years of experience, including as national manager for general insurance at BT Financial Group for three and a half years.
Prior to that he was at ING Direct for eight years where was in many roles including head of product development, where he led a team that developed retirement income and investment solutions for the Australian market.
He was also senior product manager at AMP, and held senior roles at Colonial and the Royal SunAlliance Group.
