Fidelity International announced it has appointed former head of institutional business at AMP Capital, John Meagher, and head of legal at Schroder Investment Management, Katie Constance, to its Australian institutional team.
Meagher would join Fidelity’s Sydney office as head of institutional, having previously held a business development role at the company and roles at Macquarie Bank and Invesco Asset Management.
Constance was appointed as associate director, client relationship management, and would bring over 12 years of experience in the financial services industry across London, Dubai and Sydney.
The duo would join senior executive of institutional business, Tim Connolly, who manages relationships with key clients and global asset consultants.
Managing director of Fidelity, Alva Devoy, said the institutional market was becoming increasingly sophisticated as the Australian superannuation system matures and more people reach retirement.
“As asset managers, we need to adapt to the evolving needs of our clients and we are actively building our team to enable us to do that,” she said. “By engaging with our institutional clients in a broader and deeper way, we can develop the solutions they need to support their clients at all stages of their lives.”
