Equity Trustees appoints senior manager

Equity Trustees has appointed James Connell as its senior manager, structured finance – corporate trusts in its Sydney office of the Corporate Trustee Services (CTS) and he is expected to start his new role on 8 May.

Connell joined from Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong where he was vice president, transaction management group Asia. He has significant expertise in corporate trusteeship and experience as a lawyer and transaction manager with a leading institutional bank.

CTS said it planned to focus more on the expanding fund manager market in Asia and overseas.

CTS’ executive general manager, Harvey Kalman, said: “Our clients can be assured that they are being looked after by one of the most credentialed and experienced specialist corporate trustee team in the business”.

“We are committed to recruiting great talent and welcome James to the Equity Trustees team.

“Importantly, this appointment signals our commitment to growing our presence in Sydney.”

CTS was established 17 years ago  and now services over 100 clients, 240 funds and has over $50 billion funds under supervision.
