Asgard appoints new head of distribution
Asgard has announced two new appointments following a review of its sales and business support teams.
Darren Whereat has been promoted from head of institutional business and key account to head of distribution. Asgard stated Whereat would be responsible for management and achievement of its distribution strategy, which involved a focus on stronger relationships with key partners and growing Asgard’s Private Label business.
Asgard head, Craig Lawrenson, said Whereat would lead a strengthened distribution team that included a state manager for each mainland state, consolidating the previous institutional business services and key accounts and distribution businesses.
Lawrenson noted that there was a strong focus on product development and Whereat’s team would ensure all advisers could take advantage.
Asgard also announced the appointment of Tim North Ash as national manager of key accounts, institutional and NSW sales.
