The Australian Investment Council has appointed four new directors to its board to oversee the organisation’s strategic direction and governance.

The four directors were Anna Ellis from ROC Partners, Louise Haslehurst from Quadrant Private Equity, Matthew Robinson from Pacific Equity Partners and Michelle Segaert from EY.

Ellis and Haslehurst were both investment directors, Robinson was a managing director and Segaert was a partner in financial services law.

They would join 13 existing directors on the board.

Yasser El-Ansary, chief executive of the Australian Investment Council, said: “As the voice for private capital in Australia, I am really pleased that our organisation has the support and expertise of such a high-calibre group of senior leaders from right across Australia’s private capital industry on our board.

“Private capital investment plays a critically important role in supporting the transformation and modernisation of businesses across all sectors, and in backing Australia’s fast growth new business ventures driving the innovation economy – our board of directors has the experience and strategic insights that we need to facilitate the acceleration in growth of private capital investment in Australia over many years to come.”
