IressInsurance has released an updated version of its AppCentral online application platform for insurance providers.

Key features of the new version include full customisation for providers, streamlined electronic lodgement facilities, improved reporting processes and easier navigation with an enhanced user interface, according to product manager Cameron McPherson.

A new version of VisiPlan, Iress’ desktop planning tool, will be released to market shortly, enabling users to seamlessly access AppCentral without the need to duplicate client information, he added.

“Our main aim is to reduce the time spent by users needlessly navigating through multiple products during the insurance proposal process.”

Iress has also announced that Asteron has become the second insurance provider to utilise the new AppCentral platform — after Zurich in July last year — across its adviser distribution network.

The newly released AppCentral version includes extensive enhancements to the already installed Zurich suite of retail insurance products, McPherson said.
