Nikko Asset Management (Nikko AM) has appointed Jeremy Hall as investment director – global equity, where he will be a portfolio manager within the Nikko AM Global Equity team based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Hall has 17 years of professional investment experience, most recently as a partner and investment manager at Cartesian Capital Partners LLP, where he was responsible for both UK equity long and long-short funds.

Head of global equity, William Low, said the global equity team prioritised team work, its investment ethos and having shared values.

“He has a long track record of undertaking research and picking stocks within high conviction equity portfolios,” Low said.

“His investment style is highly aligned with the team’s focus on future quality firms.”

Nikko AM’s global equity team, which manages high conviction and benchmark-unconstrained global equity long-only portfolios, is based in Edinburgh and comprises six portfolio managers with an average 20 years’ industry experience.
