Lonsec gives William Blair first rating

Ratings and research house Lonsec has rated the William Blair Emerging Markets Leaders Fund with Lonsec praising the managers track record in emerging markets and its portfolio management and analyst research teams.

Lonsec stated that it found William Blair was "a fundamental, active investment firm applying an investment philosophy that seeks to invest in quality growth companies" and added that, "this focus typically results in the Fund exhibiting heightened growth style characteristic relative to the benchmark".

William Blair Head of Australian and New Zealand Institutional Distribution, Alex Francois said emerging markets would continue to be an area that features in the investment mix for a number of people and the fund offered access to developing markets that would benefit from exposure to global themes, such as favourable demographic growth.
